Charles Sandhurst returns home from Oman to help his mother after his step-father is killed during a robbery. At the airport, a man tries to rob Sandhurst and he not only thwarts the robbery, he also cuts off the robber's hand. While at the police station, Joe talks to Sandhurst's mother and, during a moment of confusion, Sandhurst is able to get a look at the file and learns the name of one of the suspects. Sandhurst then sets out to kill not only the men who killed his step-father, but also anyone who helped in any way. Sandhust writes a letter using his own blood on the forehead of each of his victims. Joe and Levon learn that the letter is Arabic and that the pattern of the killings is like that of an ancient Middle Eastern cult. Using flight records, they single out the name of Charles Sandhurst as their most likely suspect. A necklace that Sandhurst gave to his mother was stolen by the men who killed his step-father. He finds the necklace in a store that deals with Middle Eastern art. The woman who owns the store gave Joe and Levon the information about the Arabic letter. When Sandhurst goes to the store to retrieve the necklace he realizes that she had been working with the police. He attempts to make her his final viction, but the Knight arrive just in time. A cute side story in this episode is Levon agreeing to help Jaimie by talking to Eric about the 'birds and the bees.' Fortunately, Eric is way ahead of them both. |
