Summary by JoeyPare Arizona / USA |
Joe borrows some money from Levon to invest in a stock deal, but tells the cowboy it is for his grandmother's surgery. Lundy is LIVID when he finds out the truth, and asks Beaumont for a new partner. But changing partners has to wait until they are done investigating the Devlin Gang, a ruthless clan that deals in guns, rape and general maylay. An undercover operative's hidden mike is short circuited by a microwave. In the ensuing gun battle, Joe fires upon the gang, and the operative is killed when he is shoved off the back of the fleeing pickup truck. This enrages Lundy towards LaFiamma even further, but Internal Affairs clears Joe and deems it a 'righteous shooting.' The boys separately answer a distress call from a downed officer, then take off together in the Jimmy, in pursuit of the Devlins. Lured onto the Devlin's property, they are out numbered when the Jimmy is disabled by a land mind. They are captured and dumped into a huge hole in the ground. One of the Clan gets atop a backhoe and begins dumping dirt on top of them. LaFiamma tells Levon they need to put away their differences and work together to get out. As the dirt piles up, they escape, and it becomes a game of the hunters (The Knights) now being the hunted. The Devlin's hunt them through into the night, through booby-trapped landscape. When Joe is injured, helping to save his partner who is cornered at the top of a steep cliff - his blood trail helps to track the boys easier. The two detectives decide to work together and make a stand against the Devlin's. They dispose of two, and Carol and Beaumont arrive to kill the one who has a drop on our boys. |
